Feel better - live better

You can begin to notice a difference in your feelings and thoughts after one productive session. Real, lasting change usually takes place after just a few sessions.

The hypnotherapy that I practise is based on highly effective Cognitive Behavioural techniques that you can take into your daily life.  Hypnotherapy and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy are each proven effective (link) psychotherapeutic approaches in their own right. When used together, in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy, treatment has been shown to be even more effective and long-lasting than either individual method.

All hypnotherapy is not the same!  I recommend ensuring you choose a hypnotherapist trained in cognitive behavioural techniques if you want to maximise the benefit of your session.

What is Hypnotherapy? : It is a very relaxed and focused state where your body is able to switch off the chatter of its conscious mind and access the sub-conscious mind.  Changes to long-held unhelpful beliefs made at this level provide deep and long lasting change.

What does it feel like? : People often say hypnotherapy feels like a deep state of relaxation, like daydreaming.  When you daydream you can choose to come out of that state at any time, and the same is true of hypnotherapy - you remain in control and aware of everything I am saying at all times.

The methods I use are long-established, peer-reviewed interventions and are aligned with the conclusions of, among others, the British Psychological Society, the British Medical Association and the American Medical Association.

I have a Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy, accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the General Hypnotherapy Register, the Register for Evidence-Based Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and approved by the British Psychological Society.
