• Are you exhausted from not sleeping?

  • Do you lie awake for hours with your mind churning?

  • Have you begun to fear going to bed?

You must be exhausted.

You likely haven’t had a good night’s sleep for a long time. This takes a serious toll on your body and mind.

Insomnia is one of the most prevalent conditions in the general population (Buyse et al, 2005) affecting 19 - 21% of the population at any one time (Leger, 2007).

The good news is that you are in the right place! Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can turn that all around. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is considered as the gold standard treatment for insomnia (Jacobs et al, 2004) achieving significantly higher success rates than any other treatment including pharmacology. You can experience night after night of deep, restorative sleep again and wake feeling refreshed and full of energy.

It might be that you have trouble:

  • Getting to sleep

  • Staying asleep

  • Sleeping deeply;

  • Or that you wake early and are unable to get back to sleep

Sleep, like breathing, is something that your body knows how to do naturally. But often, due to a whole range of underlying causes, the body will retain some anxiety or excess tension which interferes with this process. Hypnotherapy, combined with Cognitive Behavioural techniques, offers the opportunity to search for the underlying cause and confront the problem before making direct suggestions to the mind and body to let go of tension and relax.

This article in the Guardian gives some detail about the process by which I tackle insomnia. I use sleep efficiency and other behavioural techniques, combined with CBT and hypnotherapy.

Call me for an initial discussion - let’s get you sleeping again.
