Research has proven hypnotherapy to be incredibly effective for enabling people to overcome their smoking addiction. And not just for a few weeks, but for the long term.
If you have smoked for a long time, your identity becomes tied up with being a smoker. You develop a daily routine and habits around it - perhaps you crave a cigarette with coffee, alcohol or when stressed. Maybe you smoke to alleviate boredom or to break up your working day. These associations become so strong that it becomes very difficult to quit.
I offer a two hour session to break your smoking habit. We will begin with a consultation, where we work to understand your smoking habit. This is key to breaking it. The consultation will discover why your subconscious prevents you from stopping smoking. I will then use highly effective Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques to address and change the thoughts, feelings and emotions that take place at those critical moments when you crave a cigarette. I follow this at the end of the session with some hypnosis which embeds and reinforces all the key thinking, feeling and behaviour changes. You will be able to take a recording of this hypnosis away with you, to continue reinforcing those changes over the months to come. A greater understanding of what's at work at these points, self-mastery and hypnosis can give you the greatest possible chance of overcoming the old, patterned behaviour which is governed by your addiction.
For most clients I see, this two hour session is enough to enable them to stop smoking for good. On occasion, clients feel that they need one follow up session a few months later.
Just imagine how good it would feel never to smoke again. I can help you to become a non-smoker and stop smoking for good.
